So excited to organize my makeup..yay!!

31 Jan

People that know me, know that I love makeup. I have drugstore and department store, I do not discriminate lol. Hopefully soon I can find some time to upload some makeup tutorials on here and maybe share some ideas with you.

Any who, let’s get started. So this is my makeup before, a BIG mess. I usually have it just in makeup bags and clear plastic shoe boxes, etc.

Now with the help of this spiffy clear drawer organizers, I am completely organized.
I can find what I need and I can see it from the outside.

Single eyeshadow in one drawer

eyeshadow sets in the next. (not the huge sets)

Then powders

one full of lipsticks

next, glosses

You can do it however you want, but trust me you will love it. So much better than searching for the one eyeshadow you need in the bottom of a bag somewhere. Plus your boyfriend/husband will love you for it because there will beΒ no more makeup all over the bathroom counter lol. That use to drive my bf crazy πŸ˜‰ Sorry Gabriel πŸ™‚

Fantastic!! Just like new

11 Jan

OK, so I researched “you-tube” lol, what would be the best way for me to clean my microfiber couch. I tried the wool lite, it did make it brighter but seemed to take me forever. I have shampooed it before but that can get pricey, big machine and lots of noise and trips to empty the water container. Lots of work. Well, i read that rubbing alcohol works wonders and it did..LOVE IT! Not only is it super cheap but its super quick. It dries really fast so water marks are not a worry. Here’s what you do….

You need:

Plain rubbing alcohol

a white sponge

a empty spray bottle

Your vacuum with the furniture attachment brush. If you don’t have that, just use a bristle cleaning brush.

1. Vacuum your couch to make sure no crumbs or anything are on it.

2. Pour the alcohol in the empty spray bottle.

3. Spray the cushions down and wipe “rub” with the clean dry sponge.

4. Repeat step 3 until the whole couch is done

5. Vacuum the couch with the attachment on

Yay! All done and now your sofa looks great πŸ™‚

Time to clean those makeup brushes

makeup brushes

Ok, so I know life gets busy and time gets short but this is a really quick way to clean your makeup brushes and keep them looking like new. It only takes a few seconds, cost efficient and keeps the bacteria away from your beautiful face.

All you need is:

*dirty makeup brushes

*extra virgin olive oil

*dawn dish detergent

*paper towels

Ready, lets do this:

1. Put olive oil on a paper towel and rub your brush thru it, circles, back and forth. You will be amazed how much stuff comes off that brush..ewww lol, thank goodness that’s not going back on your face until its clean πŸ™‚

2. put dawn detergent on a regular sponge that you would wash dishes with “clean, not used of course” and rub the brush in the same manner you did in previous step.

3. rinse with warm water and lay on towel to air dry.

Voila! Clean, bacteria free makeup brushes πŸ™‚

DIY..White Teeth in seconds

2 Jan

Like millions in the world, we all want pearly white teeth but don’t always have time or the resources “$$” to do so. Well, for less than what you would spend on a starbucks coffee, you can buy a banana and have that pretty, bright smile πŸ™‚ Yes, I said banana lol..Heres what you do:

1. Eat the banana “optional” lol

2. Take the banana peel and rub it on your teeth. Thats right, just act like that peel is your tooth brush and rub away those stains.

Enjoy, your smile πŸ™‚

Great for acne!! Its AMAZING!!

fenugreek seeds

You have to try this to believe it, seriously, it works wonders. Fenugreek!Β Β It’s an herb that is commonly found growing in the Mediterranean region of the world but you can find it in your local grocery store (most) or you can google it and buy it online πŸ™‚

Fenugreek seeds have been found to contain protein, vitamin C, niacin, potassium, and diosgenin, so with that said, why not try this, right.

So heres what you do….

1. Grind the seeds into a fine powder. You can use a coffee grinder or do it the old fashion way, using a molecajete, aka grinding stone. Your choice.

2. After it’s in a fine powder, putΒ  it in a small bowl or container you want to mix it in, add water. Just enough to make a paste but not a thick paste. The consistency needs to be slightly watery enough to glide on your face.

3. Using a makeup brush, apply the mixture to your face. A thin layer is all that’s needed.

4. Allow to dry. You can rinse off with warm water after dry or you can sleep with it on your face and rinse in the morning.

5. Admire yourself in the mirror πŸ™‚ lol

I do this remedy 3 times a week and my skin issues have improved drastically. Being a woman, I tend to have breakouts around my cycle and now the acne is no longer an issue πŸ™‚

Try it out and let me know how it worked for you.Β
